Kane Brown Admits Why He Doesn’t Have Access To His Calendar

Kane Brown joined The Bobby Bones Show and shares why he doesn’t have access to his calendar, his new album coming out next year, and his TV collection for watching sports.

Brown and Marshmello have a friendship that dates back to 2019 when they released their first song together, “One Thing Right,” and now in 2024, their second song together “Miles On It,” is topping the country charts. When the two of them hangout not in public, Marshmello does not wear his signature white helmet, resembling a marshmallow.

Brown admitted he does not check e-mails or have a calendar on his phone so he can enjoy a stress-free life. He never knows his schedule until a few hours before. It does cause him to sometimes cancel plans with people at the last minute, but the people he is always with know him, so it’s expected. Sometimes he gets a debrief of his schedule for the next day, but it goes in one ear and out the other. If he needs to fly somewhere, he’s able to throw a suitcase together quickly and leave. He hates wearing the same outfit every night on stage for content purposes. He wants a new outfit for every show so in the pictures it doesn’t look like it’s all from one show. Right now, he gets his exercise routine from an app that becomes his own personal trainer. Before he had kids, he would workout 7 days a week, now he does it 4 days a week and plays golf every now and then while on the road.

Brown stretches his music into a lot of different genres and does not like to box himself into one category. He’s been wearing sunglasses indoors recently because he’s trying to get over caring what other people think, which is one of his biggest pet peeves. It’s also been helping him when he creates his new music. Brown is very serious about the TVs in his house. He has multiple because his kids will be watching something on one, then he’ll have the football game on another and RedZone on another. During big football games, he’ll put it on every TV to see which picture is the best before he changes the channel on the others. He’s also superstitious with it, so if his team is playing well while he’s watching it on a certain TV, he won’t get up to watch it on another TV somewhere else in his house.

Brown announced his new album will be out next year on January 24th, and released the first single from it called “Backseat Driver.” It’s a very mature song for him because it’s about being a dad and witnessing the childhood curiosity his kids have. He’s excited for people to hear his new album because it’s different from what everyone else is doing right now. When he was writing songs for the record, he focused on staying away from using cliché words and phrases. He noted there will be a song on the record called “I’m Writing You This So When You Forget You Can Remember.” It’s for his grandfather and a dedication to anyone who has dealt with loved ones who have Alzheimer’s or Dementia. Growing up, his mom loved Sugarland, so the final track is a remake of their song “Stay.”

Brown announced his 2025 The High Road Tour, artist pre-sale starts October 15th at 10am local time and tickets go on sale to the general public on October 18th at 10am local time.
