Listener Deb left a voicemail for The Bobby Bones Show about how stressed out she’s been lately, but whenever she gets in the car, she turns on the show and gets a little bit of normalcy and she thanked them for that and for being there for her.
Bobby Bones surprised Deb by calling her to ask how they could help her be less stressed out. She explained it’s been a rough year and every time she listens to the show it helps her because it’s like she’s listening to her friends. She went on to further explain that her stress is mostly financial related because she’s been raising her grandson for the last three years. Plus, her daughter has some kids with her boyfriend that stresses her out, and Deb has a bulldog that she just had to spend over $700 on at the vet and she was currently at the doctor with her 83-year-old dad. Deb has been driving for Uber for the past 9 years and enjoys it. She drives in the morning, so she gets a more laid-back group of people and then is able to take care of her grandkids in the afternoon.
Bones wanted to help her and sent her $1,000 because he wants to help people, and he related to Deb’s struggles in a lot of ways. Lunchbox felt inspired so he gave her a Walmart gift card for a free turkey or ham he found in the office, but he’s not sure if it still works because it had been sitting on a dusty shelf for the past three years. Deb was extremely thankful for the money and help!
