On Wednesday night, The Bobby Bones Show crew went together to accept their CMA Award for National Daily Broadcast Personality of the Year.
During the big night, all of the radio winners arrive early and go up on stage to accept their word and give a speech. Most of the time no one is out in the stands when this happens, it's more a moment for all the radio stations to have for themselves. They all also take a big group photo that runs during the live broadcast.
Amy decided to let Lunchbox make this year's acceptance speech for the show. She said it wasn't horrible, but it was embarrassing at the end. He started the speech by referencing himself as a high school dropout, then he shared that Bones was sick and couldn't attend so he needed prayers. He ended the speech by roasting other stations that didn't win the award, and yelled at everyone in the audience saying "we're never gonna leave." As Lunchbox, Scuba, and a few of the other guys continued to chant the "we're never gonna leave," Amy, Morgan and Abby started to exit the stage out of awkwardness.
Overall, the show concluded the speech wasn't horrible and Bones appreciated the nod to him being out sick. However, they said maybe next time not to roast other stations or do a group loud yell situation.
