A couple months ago Brent Michaels, the program director of a radio station out in Bakersfield, had put Eddie name in the hat for an opportunity on Wheel of Fortune.
Michels has been on a few game shows out in California so he's made friends with some of the casting directors. They asked if he knew of anyone who would be good for television, so he sent in Eddie's name. Lunchbox was fuming about the whole thing because he says he's known as the "TV guy." So when Michels was in town and stopped by the studio the other day, Lunchbox corned him and secretly recorded audio.
He asked Michaels if Eddie was "Special Ed" to him and that's why Michaels originally suggested him. Lunchbox then took further jabs at Eddie saying they didn't ever call him and it's because he doesn't look like TV and then proceeded to tell Michaels that he's his man for all things TV. Michaels admitted Lunchbox has the hype to do it, and he will suggest him as well. He also added that he loved both of them the same.
After hearing the audio, Bobby Bones reminded Lunchbox that he doesn't have to knock someone else down to build himself up. Lunchbox did think Michaels was a little weird about the whole confrontation, but he wanted to get answers in person. Eddie did confirm he hasn't received a phone call, which is weird because the other woman Micheals put up as a suggested casting was called from the casting directors. Bones said it was possible they were looking for a woman, so it's not necessarily they turned Eddie down because they haven't even talked to him yet.
Lunchbox continued to say that Eddie doesn't have the personality or the style for TV. His style is whatever Bobby gives him to wear, while Lunchbox's style is dad and Los Angeles surfer dude. He continued that his vibe is what TV people are looking for, he knows this because he watches a lot of TV. which he claims that TV people are looking for since he watches a lot of TV. We also did find out Lunchbox booked a flight for October 13th, because he claims Bones said he could do out to Los Angeles whenever he wants to get on a game show. That week they are filming for Price Is Right and it's far enough in advance that he can get tickets. Bones said it's not whenever he wants, but if he gets tickets then they will let him go out there to try and get on the show.
