Bobby’s Wife Saved Him From a Miserable Game Day Road Trip

Bobby had big plans to go to the Tennessee vs. Arkansas game. He was going to make the drive up by himself since all of his friends were out of town, just a solo sports trip to cheer on his team. He planned to drive up, watch the game, and then watch/listen to the Chicago Cubs game on the way home.

He got up early and was ready to go, but before he left, his wife gave him one rule: don’t text me when you get there and say “this sucks.” Apparently, that’s something Bobby tends to do when he goes to things, he gets there, realizes it’s not as fun as he thought it'd be, and regrets it. Then she hit him with another point, what happens if both of his teams lose? The Razorbacks and the Cubs? She asked him to think logically: how miserable would that drive home be? Bobby thought about it and realized… yeah, it would be rough.

At first, he was annoyed she said it, but turns out, she was right. Both teams lost, and he’s now very glad he stayed home. So, the Tennessee trip didn’t happen, but he’s already thinking about redemption with the Texas A&M game since it’s at home.

And while it wasn’t the best weekend for his teams overall, there was one bright spot, his Panthers looked really good pulling out a win against the Dallas Cowboys.
