Soft Launch Your New Year’s Resolutions for Your Best Year Yet

With just a few weeks left in 2025, the Bobby Bones Show decided it’s officially time to soft launch New Year’s resolutions. The idea is simple: start your resolutions a little early so that when January 1 hits, you’re already motivated and maybe a step ahead of everyone else. According to “the people” (whoever they are), soft launching makes sticking to resolutions more likely.

The resolutions discussed were a mix of serious, funny, and realistic. Bobby's resolution? “Not be a terrible dad.” Amy's focus: lifting heavier weights. The goal isn’t vanity, it’s about staying strong, healthy, and capable as the years go on. Protein, creatine, and resistance training are all part of the plan, and starting in December gives a little early momentum.

Eddie wants to prioritize fun with family. One resolution: go on a date with his wife once a week. Ambitious? Absolutely. Maybe a little too ambitious. The beauty of a soft launch is that you can adjust: maybe it’s once a month, maybe every couple of weeks, whatever works without feeling like a failure before the year even starts.

Lunchbox's goal was to make more moves. In 2025, some attempts worked, some didn’t, but the important part was trying. A small reality competition, a soccer job application, and even experimenting with a YouTube show all counted as moves, even if they didn’t all pan out. The point: success isn’t guaranteed, but action is. So while 2025 might be the year of attempting to make moves, 2026 can be the year of making more moves.

The takeaway? Soft launching resolutions lets you ease in, see small wins, and refine your goals before the pressure of January hits. Whether it’s improving health, spending more time with loved ones, personal grooming, or chasing big opportunities, starting early can give your resolutions a head start and maybe even make sticking to them a little easier.
