Morgan Reveals Elopement Wedding Plans for This Year

Morgan and her fiancé Braden have made some wedding plans! They are doing a celebration that blends tradition with a more modern, intimate approach.

They have decided to get married this year, choosing what she described as an “elopement style” wedding in the mountains. The plan is to keep the ceremony small, with only immediate family, and skip the traditional ceremony altogether. The ceremony will take place outdoors, with no formal setup, just a scenic mountain backdrop and their closest loved ones.

That description quickly sparked a debate. Lunchbox questioned whether the plan truly qualifies as an elopement, pointing out that traditional elopements are typically spontaneous, private, and often done without telling anyone in advance. He continued that an elopement is usually when “you just on a whim on a weekend, go get married and come back” already married, contrasting that with Morgan’s more structured plan involving family. Morgan acknowledged the difference of a traditional elopement, describing her wedding as “elopement-ish,” while also referring to it as a micro wedding. Amy admitted she had heard of the concept before, while Bobby joked about the name sounding like a “microwave wedding.” All jokes aside, after googling it seems the definition of elopement has changed with the evolution of weddings. Bobby read a definition aloud, noting that while elopement traditionally meant running away to marry in secret, modern usage can also refer to small, intentional destination weddings with very few guests. With that, Morgan’s description started to make more sense.

Morgan confirmed that the ceremony will take place in the mountains on the east coast, in an area that blends the Appalachian mountains with the Blue Ridge mountains. While she knows the exact location, she chose not to share specifics in an effort to keep it private and more secure. Morgan said the goal is to keep the moment intimate, even if the location itself is public. After the mountain ceremony, Morgan and her fiancé will return to Nashville to host a big party, inviting all of their friends and extended family to join in. They felt like it was the best of both worlds, a quiet, meaningful ceremony followed by a bigger party where everyone can celebrate together.

When Eddie asked which event the group would be invited to, Morgan said they would all be invited to the party as the ceremony is just their immediate families.
