The Show Thought Morgan Was Scamming Them With Text Invite

Morgan is sending digital invitations for her wedding, but has been receiving mixed reactions from people.

When people asked about receiving invites or save-the-dates, Morgan explained they would be sent via text message. She noticed hesitation and subtle judgment in some responses, which led her to question whether the decision might be considered tacky. Bobby doesn't think that digital invitations are tacky and emphasized that traditional paper invitations can be an unnecessary expense. He explained that many couples typically regret spending large amounts of money on elaborate invitations, telling Morgan she should not feel bad about her choice.

Although, despite that, Eddie admitted he initially thought the digital invitation he received was a scam. He said the message came from an unfamiliar number with a link, which made him hesitant to open it. Amy admitted she did not connect the invitation to Morgan and her fiancé Braden at first, even though their names were included, because the message did not come directly from Morgan’s phone number. Bobby also noted that the message came from an “877” number, which added to the suspicion of scam. Morgan realized that the invitations being sent through a third-party service could make them appear like spam. Amy suggested that Morgan send a separate text message to guests attending to let them know to expect a digital invitation so they would not ignore or report it. Morgan had not considered that issue and agreed it could be causing confusion for people, much like it did for the show members.

The conversation shifted when Eddie mentioned Morgan taking time off for a bachelorette party. He initially believed she was attending someone else’s event and questioned why she would get to miss work for it. After realizing it was Morgan’s own bachelorette party, he admitted his mistake. Adding that he had not fully processed that Morgan was the one getting married, which contributed to the confusion.

Morgan then shared details about planning her bachelorette trip. They originally wanted to go to Lake Tahoe but found it too expensive and hard to access. She also considered locations in Arkansas for a lake weekend but had difficulty finding suitable accommodations. Ultimately, Morgan decided on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, noting it was the perfect vibe she was looking for with a pretty lake to go out on, a 12-mile walking path, and a downtown area with local bars and restaurants. She wanted a mix of relaxing, fun lake activities balanced with opportunities to explore a local scene and dive bars.
