Listener Taylor from Colorado called into The Bobby Bones Show after attending a Russell Dickerson concert at Red Rocks. Taylor's experience inspired a question for the show: if they could see any artist, dead or alive, at any venue, real or fictional, who and where would they choose?
Taylor shared that her own choice would be Bruno Mars performing at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Amy immediately said Red Rocks would be her venue of choice because she has never been there. When asked which artist she would want to see, she chose George Strait and added that she would want to attend the concert with her sister. Eddie quickly answered that he would choose Elvis performing in Las Vegas at one of the old casinos where the singer used to play. He said seeing Elvis in that original setting would make the experience even more special. Lunchbox would want to see Tina Turner perform at the Colosseum in Rome. While admitting he did not know much about the historic venue, he felt like it was an iconic place that would fit a legendary performer like Turner.
Bobby Bones took a more unconventional route with his answer, initially saying he would want to see the Beastie Boys perform on Mars. After being challenged to pick a real venue people could actually attend, he changed his answer to the Beastie Boys performing at Magic Springs Theme Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Magic Springs was the site of his first-ever concert, where he saw Diamond Rio perform, making the location personally meaningful. He also noted that because not all members of the Beastie Boys are still alive, seeing the group together again would be special.
