Lunchbox Gives Final Update on the Pallet

The Bobby Bones Show revisited one of its longest-running inside jokes when Bobby compared the show's infamous pallet drama to names like Voldemort, Beetlejuice and Bloody Mary aka things people avoid saying aloud.

The "pallet" has become the show's forbidden word because of the all the drama and frustration surrounding said pallet the show purchased together years ago. Bobby recalled that everyone contributed about $87.50 each toward the $525 purchase after Lunchbox pitched the idea. The plan was for Lunchbox to resell the unknown items for a profit and split the earnings among the group. Instead, the project became a source of constant arguments as Lunchbox struggled to sell the items and frequently clashed with the rest of the show over his pricing strategy. Lunchbox acknowledged that he had held onto the remaining inventory because he wanted to make as much profit as possible before giving everyone a final update.

He then announced that the pallet was officially over, revealing that he had donated the remaining unsold items, including blinds, a massage cushion and a truck mat, to Goodwill after years of unsuccessful attempts to sell them. The rest of the show questioned why Lunchbox hadn't accepted lower offers years earlier. Bobby reminded him that everyone had encouraged him to lower the prices to move the items faster, believing it would ultimately earn the group more money. Lunchbox admitted one buyer had once offered $25 for an item he was asking $95 for, but he turned it down because he thought someone would eventually pay his asking price. Looking back, he admitted that was a mistake. Lunchbox repeatedly adjusted the Facebook Marketplace listings to keep them appearing near the top of search results, but the remaining products never attracted buyers. Eventually, after the items had occupied space in his guest bedroom for years, he decided it was time to move on. He apologized for the stress, arguments and frustration the mystery pallet had caused over the years and said donating everything felt like the best way to close the chapter.

Although the show appreciated finally putting the saga behind them, Bobby and the others admitted they briefly thought Lunchbox's announcement meant he had made one last sale and had more money to distribute. Instead, the update simply marked the official end of the mystery pallet.
